Nightingale Marriage Counselling was established in 2002 by Florence Gray. Florence will lead the training, with other trainers joining for different modules.

Our ‘How To’ guide on working with couples incorporates theories such as attachment, object relations, splitting, transference, projection, and internal family systems. We use an integrative approach, combining person-centered, psychodynamic, CBT, transactional analysis, and NLP techniques to help couples recognise and change negative behaviour patterns, improve communication, resolve conflicts, and re-establish emotional connections.

Our 10-stage model of a couple counselling process spans 6 modules over a 4-month period. After completing the modules, practitioners have another 4 months to accumulate 20 hours of couple counselling and submit a 2000-word essay linking theory and practice.

I found Florence a fantastic support during a difficult time. Her straightforward approach was exactly what I needed to gain a greater clarity and perspective on the situation and provided me with a space to work out my next steps. I wouldn't have believed beforehand how helpful the counselling could have been. It was a real lifesaver and Florence is brilliant.
