Our Certificate in Couple Counselling is a unique opportunity to be trained to an exceptionally high standard by industry experts. Our trainers have over 20 years experience in couple counselling and psychosexual counselling. This course also has a module dedicated to psychosexual counselling, so you can make a real difference in the lives of the couples that you work with. This module will give you an insight into how to deliver a psychosexual programme to help couples with the sexual side of their relationship.
How does it work?
The course consists of 12 training days in total, covering 6 weekends. The course content includes the theory of tried and tested methods that brings insight and understanding around the dynamics of a couple relationship and how the individuals’ behaviours contribute to the relationship getting into difficulty. Our method of training combines theory with practice around everyday situations that couple counsellors deal with on a regular basis. The course will also cover some of the cornerstones of couple counselling such as communication and negative patterns of behaviour.
Working with couples is a specialised form of counselling that can be hugely beneficial to the way couples relate to each other. This course will give you the tools to help couples make positive changes in their relationships.
Criteria for joining the course
Delegates need to be trained in individual counselling to diploma level and beyond prior to taking part in our course.
